The welding machine safety operating procedures have the following points:
- Oil stains and dirt must be removed before work, otherwise the service life of the electrode will be severely reduced and welding quality will be affected.
- After the welding machine is energized, check the electrical equipment, operating mechanism, cooling system, air circuit system and the body shell for leakage.
- Before starting the welding machine, first turn on the transfer switch of the control circuit and the small switch of the welding current, insert the knife position of the step adjustment switch, turn on the water source, air source, and the adjustment buttons on the control box, and finally turn on Power supply, ready to work.
- The electrode contacts should be kept smooth and clean, if necessary, use a fine file or emery cloth to polish.
- The bearing hinge of the welding machine, the piston of the cylinder, the liner ring, etc. should be lubricated regularly.
- When the welding machine is working, the air system and water cooling system should be unblocked. The gas must be kept dry and should not contain moisture. Drainage temperature should not exceed 40℃. Drainage flow can be adjusted according to the season (smaller in winter and larger in summer).
- When the welding machine stops working when the temperature is below 0℃, compressed air must be used to blow off the water in the cooling system to prevent freezing cracks or blockage of the pipeline.
- The working stroke of the upper electrode is realized by adjusting the two nuts under the cylinder block. After adjustment, it must be tightened.
- The electrode pressure can be adjusted by rotating the handle of the pressure reducing valve according to the requirements of the welding specification.
- Avoid damage to the ignition tube and selenium rectifier, and it is strictly forbidden to increase the fuse in the ignition circuit.
- When the load is too small and the arc in the pilot tube cannot occur, it is strictly forbidden to close the pilot circuit of the control box, because at this time the pilot circuit cannot be shunted by the arc, and the pilot circuit has a larger current during the closing period. It is easy to damage the pilot tube and selenium rectifier.
- The circuit device of the control box is more complicated, so care should be taken to protect the circuit facilities from being damaged by touching. When the temperature is low in winter, the thyratron and pilot tube are not easy to ignite. The indoor temperature should not be lower than 15°C.
- After the welding machine stops working, the debris and welding slag splash must be removed.
- When the welding machine stops working, the power and air source should be cut off first, and the water source should be turned off at last.
- If the welding machine is out of service for a long time, anti-rust grease must be applied to the unpainted moving parts to prevent the parts from rusting.
- If the control box is out of service for a long time, in order to prevent moisture intrusion, it should be energized and heated for 30 minutes every month. If the thyratron is replaced, it should also be preheated for 30 minutes. The preheating of the normal working control box shall not be less than 5 minutes, otherwise it is easy to cause reverse arc or out of control.
